The BBC have recently reported that UK repossessions have risen by 46% over the past year as mortgage companies are clamping down on those struggling with mortgage arrears.
The CML (the council of mortgage lenders) report that there were 18,900 repossessions in the six months to June, up from 12,800 in the same period last year.
The sharp rise in repossessions has been blamed on the ecomonic slow down making it harder for homeowners to pay their mortages.
